This study aims to analyze the effect of the principal's managerial ability, teacher work motivation, and work environment on the performance of the teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Segeri, Pangkep Regency.
This research approach uses an expost-facto that is correlational by examining the direct and indirect effects of independent variables on the dependent variable which was
carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Segeri in May 2021. The research sample was teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Segeri, totaling 42 people.
The results show that (1) there is a significant effect of managerial ability on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Segeri with a value of 0.700. This means that it shows that there is a strong correlation between managerial ability and teacher performance (2) there is a significant effect of work motivation on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Segeri with a value of 0.754. This means that it shows that there is a strong correlation between work motivation and teacher performance (3) there is a significant effect of work environment variables on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Segeri with a magnitude of 0.667. This means that it shows that there is a strong correlation
between work climate and teacher performance (4) there is a significant effect of managerial ability, work motivation and work environment variables on the performance
of SMP Negeri 1 Segeri teachers with the respective magnitudes being 0.617, 0.130, and 0.028. This means that it shows that there is a correlation between managerial ability, work motivation and work environment with teacher performance (5) the most dominant variable is the principal's managerial ability variable (X1).
