Abstract

Samti Nursam. 2022. The Influence of Work Motivation, Compensation and Leadership on Employee Performance at the Regional Secretariat of Polewali Mandar Regency, supervised by Maryadi and Asri.
This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation, compensation and leadership partially and simultaneously on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of Polewali Mandar Regency, as well as the most dominant variable that has been influenced on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of Polewali Mandar Regency.
The research used in this study is a quantitative research method. Quantitative research methods, which can be defined as research methods based on the philosophy of positivism, are used to examine certain populations or samples. The population in this research is the total number that includes all the members studied. The population in this
study were all offices of the Regional Secretariat of Polewali Mandar Regency, with a totally 132 number of people. Sampling of this study was carried out using the Slovin’s formula, with a significant standard of 10%. Thus, it can be seen that the sample used in this study were employees of the Polewali Mandar Regency Regional Secretariat office totaling 57 respondents. The data collection technique was carried out through a questionnaire, where each respondent's answer assessed by using a score according to a Likert scale.
The results of this study indicate that the description of the T test, it is known that work motivation, compensation and leadership partially have a positive and significant
effect on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of Polewali Mandar Regency. With the test results on work motivation which has a value of Tcount (3.375) > Ttable (2.004) and a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. Compensation has a value of Tcount (6.590) > Ttable (2.004) and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Leadership has a value of Tcount (4.666) > Ttable (2.004) and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the F test or simultaneous testing show that Fcount is 26.512 and Ftable is 2.78, it shows that Fcount > Ftable with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. These results indicate that work motivation, compensation and leadership simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of Polewali Mandar Regency. Furthermore, the
compensation variable is the most dominant influencing variables with a Beta value of 0.578.
