Abstract

Safiuddin. 2022. The Effect of Principal Academic Supervision, Work Discipline and
Work Motivation on Teacher Performance at SMKN West Muna Regency in Southeast
Sulawesi Province, supervised by Syafruddin Kitta and Salim S.
This study aims to determine and analyze (1) The Effect of Principal Academic
Supervision, Work Discipline and Work motivation partially and simultaneously on
teacher performance at SMKN West Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province (2) the
most dominant variable influencing teacher performance at SMKN West Muna Regency,
Southeast Sulawesi Province.
The research approach is a survey approach. The research was conducted at
SMKN, West Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The research time is from
December 2021 to January 2022. This study used a survey method. The population in this
study were all teachers of SMKN, West Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province,
totaling 50 ASN. Sampling in this study used a saturated sampling technique (census),
that is, all of the population in this study were sampled. The sample used in this study
were 50 people. The data analysis method used is the classical assumption test (t test, F
test, R Square, normality test and multicorrelation test) then analyzed using Multiple
Regression Analysis with the help of software SPSSversion 25.0
The results showed that (1) The school principal's academic supervision variable
(X1) has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance at SMKN West Muna
Regency by 0.002 with a t value of 3.265. Work Discipline Variable (X2) has a positive
and significant effect on Teacher Performance at SMKN in West Muna Regency with a
value of 0,000 with a t-count value of 3.678 and the Work Motivation variable (X3) has a
positive and significant effect on Teacher Performance at SMKN West Muna Regency
with a value of 0.000 with a t-count value of 8.564 (2) Work Motivation (X3) is the most
dominant variable influencing teacher performance with a value of 0.589 through Beta
test. The value of the coefficient of determination (R square) is 0.877, which means that
the independent variable (X) which includes the Principal's Academic Supervision, Work
Discipline, and Work Motivation has a contribution to the teacher performance of SMKN
West Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province by 87.7%, while the remaining 12.3%
is influenced by other variables not included in this research study.
