This research was intended to discover and analyze the effect of competence nd and leadership style towards performance by the employee working motivation of Merchant Marine Polytechnic of Makassar.
This research was conducted at November until December of 2021 in Merchant Marine Polytechnic of Makassar which ia conveniently located in Tentara Pelajar street, Makassar, south Sulawesi. The data analyze are using descriptive statistic analyzing and path analysis (Path Analysis) by the help of SPSS software 25.0 version The result of this research shows that there is direct competence effect and
leadership style toward working motivation. Nevertheless, there is direct competence effect and working motivation towards the employee performance of Merchant Marine
Polytechnic of Makassar.
