Abstract

Nur Amalia Sukri. 2022. The Effect of Self-Control, Training and Emotional
Intelligence on the Performance of State Civil Apparatus at the Pamong Praja City
Police Unit, supervised by Asri and Didiek Handayani Gusti.
This study was conducted to: (1) determine the effect of partial self-control, training
and emotional intelligence on the performance of the state civil apparatus in the
Pamong Praja Police Unit. (2) determine the effect of self-control, training and
emotional intelligence simultaneously on the performance of the state civil apparatus
in the Pamong Praja Police Unit. (3) determine which variables have the most
dominant influence on the Performance of the State Civil Apparatus in the Pamong
Praja Police Unit of Parepare City.
This research uses quantitative research. This research was conducted at the Pamong
Praja Police Unit, Parepare City. Time of the study was carried out for one
month starting in August 2021. The population in this study was the State Civil
Apparatus at the Regional Finance Agency of Parepare City, it was totaling 43 number
of people, and using a saturated sample where 43 of these people become respondents
in this study. This research was conducted by using multiple linear regression analysis
with the SPSS version 26 applications.
From the results of data processing, it was found that the t value of the selfcontrol
variable = -0.064 < t table = 2.021 with a significant level of 0.950 > 0.05, so
that it is known that partially self-control does not significantly affect the performance
of ASN in the Civil Service Police Unit of Parepare City; While the t-count value of
the training variable = 3.047 < t table = 2.021 with a significant level of 0.004 <0.05
so it is known that partially training has a positive and significant effect on the
performance of ASN in the Civil Service Police Unit of Parepare City; And the t value
of the emotional intelligence variable = 2.478 < t table = 2.021 with a significant level
of 0.018 < 0.05 which means that partially emotional intelligence has a positive and
significant effect on the performance of ASN in the Civil Service Police Unit of
Parepare City. Based on the standardized beta value, it is known that the training
variable has a more dominant effect on ASN performance compared to other variables,
which is indicated by a value of 0.427.
