Abstract

Mukmin. 2021. The Effect of Participative Leadership Style, Work Motivation,
and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at the Communication and
Information Office of Parepare City, supervised by Muh. Salim Sultan and Didiek
Handayani Gusti.
This study aims to (1) analyze the influence of participatory leadership
style on employee performance (2) analyze the effect of work motivation on
employee performance (3) analyze the effect of work discipline on employee
performance at the Department of Communication and Information
Technology of Parepare City (4) analyze the effect of participatory leadership
style, work motivation, and work discipline on the performance of employees
at the Office of Communication and Informatics of Parepare City (5) to find
out the most dominant variables that affect the performance of employees at the
Office of Communication and Information of the City
of Parepare.
The data used are primary data and secondary data. The population in
this study were all employees at the Department of Communication and
Information of the City of Parepare, amounting to 49 people. This study includes
a sample study because the population is more than 30 people. Sampling in this
study used probability technique and proportional simple random sampling. The
Slovin formula determined the sample size in this study.
The results of the study conclude that partially (1) participatory leadership
style does not affect employee performance (2) work motivation does not have a
positive and significant effect on employee performance (3) work discipline has a
positive and significant effect on employee performance at the City
Communications and Information Office Parepare (4) simultaneously shows that
participatory leadership style, work motivation, and work discipline affect
performance (5) work discipline variable is the most dominant variable affecting
employee performance at the Department of Communication and Information of
the City of Parepare.
