Abstract

Ika Mustika. 2022. The Influence of Democratic Leadership Style, Organizational Communication and Work Environment on Employee Performance at the Makassar Maritime Science Polytechnic Cadet Character Development Unit. supervised by Sylvia Sjarlis and Andi Djalante.
This study aims to determine and analyze: (1) the effect of partial democratic leadership style on employee performance at the Makassar Marine Science Polytechnic cadet character development unit (2) the partial influence of organizational communication on employee performance at the Makassar shipping science polytechnic cadet character development unit ( 3) Partial influence of the work environment on employee performance at the Makassar Marine Science Polytechnic cadet character development unit (4) the influence of Democratic Leadership Style, Organizational Communication and Work Environment Simultaneously on Employee Performance at the Makassar Maritime Science Polytechnic Cadets Character Development Unit.
This research approach is a quantitative approach. The study was conducted on employees at the Makassar Maritime Science Polytechnic Cadet Character Development Unit and was carried out from December 2021 - January 2022. The research population was employees at the Makassar Maritime Science Polytechnic Cadet Character Development Unit, totaling 43 people. The sample selection in this study was carried out
using the saturated sampling method, namely by determining all the population as a total sample of 43 employees. The analytical technique used is Multiple Linear Regression
analysis.
The results showed that: 1) there was a positive and significant influence between the democratic leadership style partially on employee performance at the Makassar Maritime Science Polytechnic cadet character development unit. (2) there was a positive and significant influence between organizational communication partially on employee
performance in the development unit. Character of the Makassar Marine Science Polytechnic Cadets. (3) there is a positive and significant influence between the work
environment partially on employee performance at the Makassar Maritime Science Polytechnic Cadet Character Development Unit. (4) there is a positive and significant
influence between Democratic Leadership Style, Organizational Communication and Work Environment Simultaneously on Employee Performance at the Character
Development Unit of the Makassar Marine Science Polytechnic Cadets.
