Abstract

Hasnah Abdullah (2020.MM.1.2858), The Influence of Leadership and Competence on Employee Performance Through Employee Work Motivation at the Cooperative, SME and Trade Office of Bantaeng Regency. (supervised by Maryadi and Didiek Handayani Gusti).
This study aims to determine the effect of (1) leadership; (2). competence; (3). work motivation on employee performance at the Office of Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade Bantaeng Regency. (4) leadership; (5). competence on motivation and To find out the indirect bettor (6). Leadership; (7). competence on employee performance through
employee work motivation at the Office of Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade Bantaeng Regency. (8) To analyze the role of employee motivation as a variable.
This research approach uses a quantitative approach. The research was conducted at the Department of Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade of Bantaeng Regency.
The research population is all employees of the Department of Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade of Bantaeng Regency, totaling 60 people. The sampling technique in this study is a saturated sample technique, that is, all populations are used as samples. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis used path analysis with SmartPLS Version
13 software.The results of this study are known that (1) Leadership has no effect; (2). Compensation; (3) Employee work motivation has an effect on employee performance at
the Office of Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade in Bantaeng Regency. (4). Influential leadership; (5) Competence does not affect the work motivation of employees at the
Department of Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade of Bantaeng Regency; (6). Leadership has no effect; (7) Competence affects employee performance through employee work
motivation at the Office of Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade in Bantaeng Regency; (8) The variable of employee work motivation cannot be a variable. The author hopes that
leadership, competence and motivation are things that must be considered by the leadership in this case the Head of the Department of Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade in Bantaeng Regency to improve the performance of all employees.
