Abstract

Wahyuni Zain. 2021. Effect of Meritocracy as Moderation toward Transactional Leadership and Work Loyalty on Career Development at the Regional Financial Management Agency of Luwu Regency, supervised by Syamsul Alam and Didiek Handayani Gusti.
This study aims to (1) analyze the effect of transactional leadership and job loyalty partially on career development at the Regional Financial Management Agency of Luwu Regency (2) to analyze the effect of meritocracy as moderation on
transactional leadership and job loyalty on career development at the Regional Financial Management Agency of Luwu Regency.
This research approach used survey research conducted at the Regional Financial Management Agency of Luwu Regency from January 2021 to February 2021. The study population was all State Civil Servants (ASN) Scope of the Regional Financial Management Agency of Luwu Regency, amounting to 51 people. The sample selection in this study was carried out using saturated sampling method (census) by determining all populations as a total sample of 51 people.
The results show that (1) Transactional leadership and job loyalty had a positive and partially significant effect on career development at the Regional Financial Management Agency of Luwu Regency (2) Meritocracy was unable to
moderate the effect of transactional leadership and job loyalty on career development.
