Abstract

Syamsuddin 2020. The Effect of Leadership and Motivation on Employee Performance through Job Satisfaction in the Pangkep Regency Environmental Office (supervised by Nurdin Brasit and Mukhtar Hamzah)
The study aims to analyze: 1) the direct influence of leadership and work motivation on employee job satisfaction in the Pangkep District Environmental Agency, 2) the direct influence of leadership and work motivation on employee
performance in the Pangkep Regency Environmental Agency, and 3) the indirect influence of leadership and work motivation for employee performance through job satisfaction at the Pangkep Regency Environmental Office.
This research design uses survey research. This research will be carried out at the Pangkep Regency Environmental Agency from October to November 2019. The population in this study is all of the Pangkep Regency Environmental Services
Officers, amounting to 44 people. The sample used is the entire population, with the sampling technique is the total sampling, (census) of 44 employees of the Environmental Service Office of Pangkep Regency. Data analysis techniques using path analysis.
The results showed that: 1) there was a positive and significant direct effect on leadership and work motivation on employee job satisfaction at the Pangkep Regency Environmental Service, 2) there was a direct positive and significant effect on leadership and work motivation on employee performance at the District Environmental Service Pangkep, and 3) there is an indirect and significant positive effect on leadership and work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction at the Environmental Service Office of Pangkep Regency.
