The purpose of this study is to determine the effect partially and simultaneously the work environment, motivation, and work ability on the quality of public services at the tourism office of the Selayar archipelago district.
This study was a quantitative study that uses a survey method in collecting research data. The population in this study were all (PNS and Non PNS) who served in the Tourism Office of the Selayar Islands Regency with a total of 105 people. The research sample was determined using a saturated sample, all elements in the population were sampled (105 people). The analytical method used in this research is
multiple regression analysis.
The results show that the work environment, motivation and work ability have a positive and significant effect partially and simultaneously toward the quality of public services. Work ability is the most dominant variable affecting the quality of public services with a regression coefficient value of 0.424, the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.732 or 73.2%, the quality of public services at the tourism office in the Selayar archipelago district is influenced by work environment, motivation and work ability, while the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
