Abstract

Faustina. 2025. The Influence of work professionalism and work motivation on employee performance at the Barombong Maritime Polytechnic, Supervised by Shandra Bahasoan and Iradat Rayhan Sofyan.
This study aims to analyze (1) the partial influence of work professionalism and work motivation on employee performance at the Barombong Maritime Polytechnic, (2) the simultaneous influence of work professionalism and work motivation on employee performance at the Barombong Maritime Polytechnic, and (3) the most dominant variable influencing employee performance between work professionalism and work motivation at the Barombong Maritime Polytechnic.
The study employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 68 respondents who are employees at the Barombong Maritime Polytehcnic. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires using a Likert scale, and data analysis used multiple linear regression.
The research findings indicate that: (1) Individually, the variables of work professionalism and work motivation have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. (2) Work professionalism and work motivation have a positive simultaneous influence on employee performance. (3) The variable of work motivation has the most dominant positive and significant influence on employee performance.
