This study aims to analyze the credit granting process on the performance of the credit union and identify strategies that can be implemented to reduce the risk of bad loans.
The study employed a qualitative approach using data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document analysis.
The research findings indicate that the credit union needs to improve its risk management system by implementing stricter creditworthiness analysis before granting loans. Additionally, the credit union is advised to provide education and financial literacy to members to enhance their understanding of the importance of disciplined installment payments. By implementing these strategies, it is expected that the credit union can minimize the risk of bad loans and improve financial stability in the long term.
