Abstract
Jumrah (2017.MM.2.1040), Thesis: Employee Performance Improvement Strategies Through Work Training, Compensation and Discipline Programs at the Regional Secretariat of Jeneponto Regency; mentored by: Saban Echdar and Maryadi.
This study aims to analyze (1) The effect of Training, Competence and Work Discipline on Employee Performance partially and simultaneously, (2) analyzing the most dominant variables influencing Employee Performance. The study uses a quantitative descriptive approach, aimed at testing the theory with reality in the field through measuring the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The sample of this study were 75 people using multiple linear regression analysis.
Hypothesis test results concluded that (1) There is a positive and significant effect of training on employee performance, as evidenced from the tcount of 2.947>ttable
1.665 with a significance value of 0.004 (2) There is a positive and significant effect of competence on employee performance, as evidenced from the tcount 2.554> of ttable
1,665 with a significance value of 0.013, (3) There is a positive and significant effect of work discipline on employee performance, evidenced from the tcount of 2.034> of the value of ttable 1.665, (4) There is a positive and significant effect of training, competence and work discipline simultaneously on performance staff at the Jeneponto Regency Regional Secretariat, this is evidenced from the tcount of 2.034>ttable value of 1.665 with a significance value of 0.034.
The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained
0.416 results, which means that 41.6% of the dependent variable (employee performance)
can be explained by the independent variables (training, competence and work
discipline), while the remaining 58.4% is explained by other variables outside the
research this.
