Abstract

Hasnani. 2021. The influence of competence, work environment and leadership of school principals on the performance of kindergarten teachers in West Bacukiki District,Parepare City, guided by Muhammad Hidayat and Haeranah.
This study aims to find out and analyze: The Influence of Competence, Work Environment and Leadership of School Principals on the Performance of Kindergarten Teachers in West Bacukiki District, Parepare City.
This research approach uses survey research. The research was conducted in Kindergarten in West Bacukiki District, Parepare City. The research was conducted from
September to October 2020. The research population is all kindergarten teachers who teach in West Bacukiki District, Parepare City as many as 49 people spread across 10
kindergartens. The selection of samples in this study was carried out using the sampling method, namely using the saturated sample technique, where all members of the
population, totaling 49 people, could be used as samples
The results of the study showed that: 1) There was a significant positive influence of the principal's leadership on the performance of kindergarten teachers in West
Bacukiki District 2) There was no significant positive influence of teacher competence on the performance of kindergarten teachers in West Bacukiki District. 3) There is no significant positive influence of the work environment on the performance of kindergarten teachers in West Bacukiki District.4) There is a significant positive influence of the principal's leadership on the performance of kindergarten teachers in West Bacukiki District. Based on the results of the study, a determination (R square) of 0.313 was obtained, which can be interpreted that the independent/independent variable (X) which includes teacher ability, work environment, and principal leadership contributed to the performance of kindergarten teachers in West Bacukiki District, Parepare City by 31.3%, while the remaining 68.7% was influenced by other variables that were not included in the study.
