Abstract

Muhammad Asyraf Ilham HR. 2022. The Effect of Work Motivation, Human
Resources Competence and Integrity of Investigators on the Performance of
Investigators at the Mamuju City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, supervised by
Mukhtar Hamzah and Badaruddin.
This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation on the performance of
investigators in the Mamuju City Police Criminal Investigation Unit; analyzing the
influence of human resources competence on the performance of investigators in the
Mamuju City Police Criminal Investigation Unit; analyze the influence of the
integrity of the apparatus on the performance of the investigating apparatus in the
Mamuju City Police Criminal Investigation Unit; and analyze the influence of work
motivation, competence of human resources and the integrity of the apparatus on the
performance of the investigators in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mamuju
City Police.
This research was conducted at the Mamuju City Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
The population in this study was 60 people, namely all personnel in the Mamuju City
Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Sampling using purposive sampling method,
namely sampling based on certain considerations or criteria. All samples amounted
to 55 respondents at the Mamuju City Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The data
collection method used was to provide questionnaires to the police officers in
accordance with the research conducted. Data analysis was performed using
multiple linear regression analysis, T-test, F-test and Coefficient of Determination
(R2).
The results showed that work motivation (1) had a positive and significant effect on
the performance of the investigating officers in the Mamuju City Police Criminal
Investigation Unit (2) the competence of human resources had a positive and
significant effect on the performance of the investigators in the Mamuju City Police
Criminal Investigation Unit (3) the integrity of the investigators had an effect
positive and significant impact on the performance of investigators in the Mamuju
City Police Criminal Investigation Unit (4) work motivation, HR competence and
integrity of investigators have a positive and significant effect on the performance of
investigators in the Mamuju City Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
