This study aims to determine and analyze: (1) To analyze the effectiveness of the
recess results of DPRD members in the process of preparing and determining the
Regional Expenditure Budget for Bulukumba Regency. (2) To analyze the role of DPRD
members in the policy formulation process in Bulukumba Regency
This research approach is a qualitative approach. The research was conducted at
the DPRD Office of Bulukumba District Dapil III, Bulukumpa and Rilau Ale Districts.
The informants in this study were 3 members of the DPRD Bulukumba Regency, electoral
area III, Bulukumpa District and Rilau Ale District, as well as 2 village heads and 1
village head in Bulukumpa District and 3 village heads in Rilau Ale District.
The results of the study show that: 1) The results of the recess for members of the
Regional People's Legislative Council of Bulukumba Regency, especially the electoral
district III of Bulukumpa District and Rilau Ale District, have been effective in the
process of preparing and determining the Regional Expenditure Budget of Bulukumba
Regency. (2) Members of the Regional People's Representative Council of Bulukumba
Regency, especially Electoral District III of Bulukumpa and Rilau Ale Districts, have
played an active role in the process of formulating policies in Bulukumba Regency.
