Abstract
Fitratul Aeni. 2021. The Effect of Consumer Motivation, Price Perception, Quality
Perception towards Interest in Buying Private Label Products (Study on Consumers at
the Carrefour Transmart Supermarket Makassar City), supervised by Muhammad
Hidayat and Fitriany.
This study aims (1) to analyze the influence of consumer motivation on buying
interest in private label products at the Carrefour Transmart Supermarket Makassar
(2) to analyze the effect of price perception on buying interest in private label products at
the Carrefour Transmart Supermarket Makassar (3) to analyze the effect of perception
Quality on Purchase Interest of Private Label Products at the Carrefour Transmart
Supermarket Makassar (4) to Analyze Consumer Motivation, Price Perception, Quality
Perception simultaneously affect the purchase intention of Private Label Products at the
Carrefour Transmart Supermarket Makassar City.
This research was conducted on consumers at the Carrefour Transmart
Supermarket Makassar City. This research is quantitative. The sample used in this study
were customers who shopped at Transmart Carrefour in the city of Makassar. The
research data was obtained by surveying all consumers who shopped for private label
products at the Carrefour Transmart Supermarket in Makassar. One hundred ten
respondents met the requirements to fill out the questionnaire. Data were collected using
a questionnaire with a Likert scale which was distributed to research respondents. Data
analysis used multiple linear regression with SPSS 21 software.
This study shows that consumer motivation and perceived quality have a
simultaneous positive effect on purchase intention. In contrast, price perceptions do not
have a simultaneous positive effect on consumer buying interest. Consumer motivation,
perceived price, and perceived quality have a partial positive effect on Consumer
Purchase Interest. Consumers who shop for private label products at the Carrefour
Transmart Supermarket Makassar City.
