Abstract

Akhiruddin, 2023. The influence of competence, commitment and the existence of
trade unions on the performance of employees of PT. Makassar Mega Prima, Supervised
by Ahmad Firman and Muh Said

This research uses quantitative methods. Research conducted at PT. Makassar
Mega Prima. The data used are primary data and secondary data obtained from the
technique of distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents. The method used to test the
hypothesis is the validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple
regression analysis, T test, F test, and the coefficient of determination.

The results showed that 1) the competency variable has a positive and significant
effect on employee performance with a t-count > t-table (5,494 > , 2,026) commitment
has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-count > t-table
(3,761 > 2026) ) but on the third variable, namely 3) The existence of labor unions has a
negative effect on employee performance because t-count < .>. table (-2,746 <2,026) In
the simultaneous test, namely 4) competency variable, commitment to the existence of
labor unions, simultaneously has a positive effect and significantly to performance,
because F-count > F-table (29,501 > 2.87), while the determination test has a
contribution to employee performance of 77.1%, while the rest is influenced by other
variables not included in the study.
