Abstract

Abdullah. 2023. The Influence of Leadership, Competence and Work Discipline on Improving
the Performance of Employees of the Population and Civil Registration Office of Pangkajene
and Islands Regencies, supervised by Asri and Basri Rakhman.
This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, competence, and work discipline
partially on improving employee performance, to analyze the influence of leadership,
competence, and work discipline together on improving employee performance, and to analyze
the most dominant variables influencing employee performance Department of Population and
Civil Registration of Pangkajene and Archipelago Regencies.
This research approach used survey research with a saturated sampling method, with a
total of 51 respondents, employees at the Office of Population and Civil Registration of
Pangkajene and Islands District with quantitative data analysis techniques, and multiple
regression analysis using the SPPS Ver.25 program.
The results showed that there was an influence of leadership on employee performance
while the competency variable did not have a significant effect on employee performance and for
the work discipline variable there was no significant effect on the performance of the Pangkajene
and Islands Regency Population and Civil Registration Office employees. Leadership,
competence, and work discipline have a joint effect on employee performance and the most
dominant variable that has a positive effect on employee performance is the leadership variable.
