Abstract

Rahmat Karyadi Yusuf. 2020. The Effect of Compensation and Work Motivation toward the Employee Performance through Employee Work Discipline in Pasimarannu District, Selayar Islands Regency, supervised by Sylvia Sjarlis and Deddy Rahwandi Rahim.
This study aims to analyze (1) the direct effect of compensation and work motivation toward the employee work discipline in Pasimarannu District, Selayar Islands Regency (2) the direct effect of compensation, work motivation, and work discipline toward the employee performance in Pasimarannu District, Selayar Islands Regency (3) indirect compensation and work motivation toward the employee performance through employee work discipline in Pasimarannu District, Selayar Islands Regency. This study method used a quantitative methods and conducted in Pasimarannu District, Selayar Islands Regency from July to August 2020. The population in the study were civil servants who served in Pasimarannu District, Selayar Islands Regency by 40 people who were being sampled. Hypothesis testing uses path analysis combined with sobel test.The results show that (1) compensation has no effect on work discipline while work motivation has a positive effect on employee discipline in Pasimarannu District, Selayar Islands Regency (2) compensation has no effect on employee performance while work motivation and work discipline have a positive effect on employee performance in the District Pasimarannu, Selayar Islands Regency (3) compensation has no effect on employee performance through work discipline while work motivation has a positive effect on employee performance through employee work discipline in Pasimarannu District, Selayar Islands Regency.
