Abstract
Nawir. 2020. The Effect of Compensation and Work Discipline on Performance Through Work Spirit of Maros Prison Employees. Supervised by Saban Echdar and Muh. Said.
This research is a quantitative study using a survey approach, which aims to examine the effect of compensation and work discipline on performance through the morale of the Maros prison employees.
The population in this study were all permanent employees (Civil Servants) who worked at the Maros District Penitentiary Office, totaling 52 people, while the sample was 52 people who were determined using the saturated sampling technique. The analytical method used in this research is path analysis.
The results showed that (1) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee morale at the Maros prison. (2) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee morale at Maros Prison. (3) Compensation has a
positive and significant effect on employee performance at Maros Prison. (4) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Maros Prison. (5) Morale has a positive and significant effect on employee
performance at Maros Prison. (6) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on performance through employee morale at the Maros prison. (7) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on performance through employee morale at Maros Prison.
