Abstract

Kamaruddin. 2020. The effect of Work discipline, Motivation, and Work Environment toward the Staff Performance at the Transportation Office in Jeneponto, supervised by Sahban Echdar and Maryadi.
This research aims to analyze (1) the effect of work discipline, motivation, and work environment toward staff performance partially and simultaneously (2) the most dominant variable affects staff performance.
This research used descriptive and quantitative approaches to test the theory with reality in the field by measuring the effect of independent variables toward the dependent variable. The research sample was 50 respondents using the opinion of Arikunto (in Echdar 2017) with multiple linear regression analysis.
The analysis result concludes that (a) the work discipline variable has a positive and significant effect toward staff performance with the t test result showing the t value of the work discipline variable (X1) of 4.173 < t table 1.30 with the value of sig. 0.000 <0, 05 (b) the variable of work
motivation has a positive but not significantly affect on the staff performance. Work environment variable has a positive and significant effect toward staff performance as indicated by the value of t work environment (X3) is 2.756> of t value 1.30 with sig 0.008 < of 0.05 (d) work discipline, motivation, and work environment have a significant effect toward staff performance. This is indicated by the calculated of F value of 34,691 with a significant value of 0,000 < from an alpha value of
0.05 (e) Work discipline variable is the most dominant variable affects the staff performance based on the t value of the work discipline variable (X1) 4.173> motivation variable (X2 ) 3,628> work environment variable (X3)
2,756. Calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained 0.693 results which means the dependent variable (employee performance) can be explained by the independent variables (work discipline, motivation, and work environment) of 67.3% while the remaining 32.7% explained by
other variables outside this study.
