Abstract

Bohari H. 2020. The Effect of the Quality of Public Information Services and Work Discipline toward Public Satisfaction at the Informatics Communication and Statistics Office in Jeneponto, supervised by Saban Echdar and Maryadi.
This research aims to analyze (1) the effect of the quality of public information service toward public satisfaction (2) the effect of work discipline toward public satisfaction (3) the effect of public information service and work discipline simultaneously toward the public satisfaction (4) the most dominant variable affects public satisfaction.
This research used a quantitative descriptive approach to test the theory of reality in the field by measuring the effect of independent variables toward the dependent variable. The sample of this research was 100 respondents using the opinion of Arikunto (in Saban, Echdar) with multiple linear regression analysis techniques.
Hypothesis testing results show that (1) there is a positive and significant effect toward the quality of public information services to public satisfaction with a correlation coefficient (rx1y) of 0.596, a coefficient of
determination (r2x1y) of 0.355, t arithmetic (7.341) > t table (1.984) at a significance level of 5%, which means the quality of public information services affect public satisfaction by 35.5% (2) there is a positive and
significant effect of work discipline toward community satisfaction with a correlation coefficient (rx2y) of 0.704 a coefficient of determination (r2x1y) of 0, 495, t arithmetic (9,810) > t table (1,984) at a significance level of 5% which means that work discipline affects public satisfaction by 49.5% (3) there is a positive and significant effect on the quality of public information services and work discipline simultaneously toward public satisfaction at the Informatics Communication and Statistics Office with a correlation coefficient (Ry (1.2)) ar 0, 728 and the coefficient of determination (R2y (1,2)) of 0.529, F
arithmetic (54.547) > F table (3.090) at a significance level of 5%, which means the magnitude of the effect of the quality of public information service and effective work discipline that has been calculated (5) calculation of the
coefficient of determination (R2) obtained 0.529 results which means that the quality of public services and work discipline is able to affect 52.9% changes in public satisfaction. The coefficient of determination shows that there are still 47.1% factors or other variables that affect public satisfaction other than the quality of public services and work discipline.
