This study aims to analyze the interests of students majoring in accounting at Makassar State University to become accountant educators. The factors in this study are
professional recognition, work environment, and financial awards. This study used multiple linear regression analysis methods.
The population in this study was a student majoring in accounting in the final semester at Makassar State University. Meanwhile, the sample was 75 respondents. The
data collection method uses a google form questionnaire.
The results show that (1) Partially the factor of professional recognition and work environment has a significant effect on the interest of students majoring in accounting for the accounting profession of educators. Meanwhile, the financial award factor does not have a significant effect on the interest of students majoring in accounting for the accounting profession of educators. (2) Simultaneously, the factors of professional recognition, work environment, and financial awards are able to explain the profession of an educator accountant. The factors in this study have a significant effect on the
profession of educator accountants simultaneously.
