Abstract

Dirmayanti. 2020. The Effect of Competence, Training, and Leadership toward the Employee Performance of Tourism Officein West Sulawesi Province, supervised by Muhammad Idris and Syamsul Alam.
This study aims to analyze (1) the effect of competence, training, and leadership partially toward the employee performance at the Tourism Office in West Sulawesi Province (2) the effect of competence, training, and leadership
simultaneously toward the emloyee performance at the Tourism Office in West Sulawesi Province (3) the most dominant variable affects the employee performance at the Tourism Office in West Sulawesi Province.
This study was conducted at the Tourism Office of West Sulawesi Province.
The sample was determined by a saturated sampling technique (census) and produces 45 employees. The data collection method used a questionnaire and document studies. The analytical method used was a descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.
The results of the study conclude that (1) partially, the competence, training, and leadership variables have a positive and significant effect toward the employee
performance at the Tourism Office of West Sulawesi Province. This shows that the higher the competence, training, and leadership, the higher the employee performance will be improved (2) simultaneously shows that the competence,
training, and leadership variables have a positive and significant effect toward the employee performance at the Tourism Office of West Sulawesi Province, which means that the increase competence, training, and leadership will affect employee performance improvement with a value of 45.3% (3) competence is the most dominant variable affects the employee performance. This means that increased knowledge, skills, and attitudes of employees will furtherly encourage employee performance improvements at the Tourism Office of West Sulawesi Province.
