Abstract
Andi Puji Astuty Agus. 2020. The Effect of Training and Discipline toward Employee Performance through Competence (Study at the KSOP Harbormaster’s Office and Port Authority Class III Syahbandar Parepare),supervised by Muhammad Idris and Saripuddin D.
This research aims to test and analyze the effect of training and discipline toward employee performance through competence (a study at the KSOP Harbormaster’s Office and Port Authority Class III Syahbandar Parepare).
This research is quantitative using a survey research design. The population used were all employees at the KSOP Harbormaster’s Office and Port Authority Class III Syahbandar Parepare with 55 employees. The determination of the sample is done by using a saturated sample technique, where all population elements are being sampled. Analysis of the data used is path analysis.
The results show that (1) training and work discipline has a positive and significant effect toward competence (2) training and work discipline has a positive and significant effect toward employee performance (3) competence has a positive and significant effect toward employee performance (4) training and competence have a positive and significant effect toward employee performance through competence.
