Abstract

Daming. 2022. The Effect of Competence, Motivation and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Sulawesi Province.

This study aims to determine and analyze: (1) the effect of competence, motivation, and work discipline partially on employee performance at the Department of Population
and Civil Registration of West Sulawesi Province (2) the effect of simultaneous competence, motivation and work discipline on employee performance at the office Population and Civil Registration of West Sulawesi Province. (3) the most dominant variable affecting employee performance at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of West Sulawesi Province.
This research approach is a quantitative approach. The study was conducted on employees at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of West Sulawesi Province. and carried out from May – June 2022. The population of the research is the employees of the Department of Population and Civil Registration of West Sulawesi Province, totaling 57 people. The sample selection in this study was carried out using the saturated sampling method, namely by determining all the population as a total sample of
57 employees. The analytical technique used is multiple Linear Regression analysis.
The results show that: 1) there is a positive and significant influence between competence and work discipline partially on employee performance at the Department of
Population and Civil Registration of West Sulawesi Province (2) there is a positive and significant influence between competence, motivation and work discipline simultaneously
on performance Employees at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of West Sulawesi Province. (3) competence is the most dominant variable affecting employee performance at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of West Sulawesi Province. The R-Square value in this study was 0.756.
