The welfare of farmers is determined by the income received by farmers in doing farming. The high cost of agricultural production, the low price of agricultural commodities, and the rising prices of consumer goods are the causes of the decline in farmers' income which results in a low level of farmer welfare.
The village development and community empowerment program is a program of activities carried out in the village through village financial management with the aim of improving the welfare of farmers. With the implementation of this program, the farming community can carry out farming effectively and efficiently so that they are able to produce quality agricultural products with low production costs so that it affects the increase in farmers' income which will ultimately affect the level of farmers' welfare.
This research uses primary data with survey method. Data was collected through a questionnaire. The data analysis used in this research is path analysi and sobel test.
The research population is the farming community in Pao-Pao Village, Tanete Rilau District, Barru Regency, amounting to 368 people. Determination of the minimum sample size using the Slovin formula as many as 192 people.
The results of this study conclude that partially the village development program has a positive and significant effect on village financial management, Farmer Community
Empowerment has a positive and significant effect on village financial management, the village development program has a positive and significant impact on farmers' welfare,
the Farmer Community Empowerment Program has a positive and significant impact on farmer welfare, Village Financial Management has a positive and significant effect on farmer welfare, village financial management can mediate positively and significantly between village development programs on farmer welfare, and village financial management can mediate positively and significantly between farmer community
empowerment and farmer welfare.
