Abstract

Muhammad Syaiful Majid. 2022. The Influence of Leadership Style, Work Ethic and Commitment on the Performance of Members of the North Galesong Police Station, Takalar Police, supervised by H. Nawir Rahman and Muhammad Idris.
This study aims to (1) find out and analyze the effect of leadership style, workethic and commitment partially on the performance of members of the Takalar Police Galesong Utara, (2) find out and analyze the influence of leadership style, work ethic and commitment simultaneously on the performance of members of the Takalar Police Galesong Utara (3) analyzing the variables that have the most dominant influence on the performance of members of the Takalar Police Galesong Utara The research approach used in this study is a quantitative method with an explanatory approach. The research was carried out at the Galesong Utara, Takalar Police Station, which was carried out from March to April
2022. The data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires and documentation. The sampling technique used in this study is saturated sampling technique, the number of samples or respondents is all the population in the Galesong Utara Police Station, amount 40 number of people.
Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale which was distributed to all research respondents. Data processing is based on an analytical model using multiple linear regression with SPSS software version
25.
The results of this study indicate that partially leadership style and commitment have no significant effect on the performance of members of Takalar Police Station Galesong Utara, while work ethic has a positive and significant effect on the performance of members of Takalar Police Station Galesong Utara. The results of standardized beta values indicate that work ethic is the most dominant variable affecting the performance of members of the Takalar Police Station Galesong Utara.
The results of the determination test which include leadership style, work ethic and commitment as a variable (X) have a joint contribution to the performance of members (Y) of North Galesong Police by 73%, while the remaining 27% is influencedby other variables not included in the study.
