Abstract

Maya Sri Hadrian. 2021. The Effect of Participatory Leadership Style on Organizational Commitment, Internal Communication, and Job Satisfaction to Improve Employee Performance at the Environment Agency of Gowa Regency,
supervised by Nur Naninsih and Harlindah Harniati Arfan.
This study aims to (1) analyze the effect of participatory leadership style on organizational commitment, internal communication, and job satisfaction partially (2) determine organizational commitment, internal communication, job
satisfaction, and participatory leadership style on employee performance partially (3) determine the effect of organizational commitment, internal communication,
and job satisfaction as mediating the relationship between participatory leadership style on employee performance.
The researcher researched in June 2021 at the Gowa Regency
Environmental Service. Based on the population of civil servants and non-civil servants as many as 45 people, the entire population was determined to be a sample (total sampling), namely 45 respondents. The instrument of this research used a questionnaire that was distributed to the respondents. The research method applies a quantitative approach by testing hypotheses using a path analysis model.
The resultsshow that (1) participatory leadership style partially significant effect on organizational commitment (2) participatory leadership style partially significant effect on internal communication (3) participatory leadership style partially significant effect on job satisfaction (4) organizational commitment partially Partially significant on performance (5) organizational commitment, internal communication, and job satisfaction has a significant effect as mediating the relationship between participatory leadership style on employee performance.
