This study aims to determine the effect of competence, compensation, and job satisfaction toward the performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Agriculture and Food Security Office in Polewali Mandar District.
This study is a causative correlation that examines the causal relationship. This study used a quantitative approach using the survey method. The sample was determined using the saturated method or census. Data were collected through a questionnaire and the variable consisted of 3 variables, namely 2 independent variables namely competence (X1), compensation (X2), and 1 dependent variable, namely the Performance variable (Y). Data were analyzed used data analysis techniques in the form of Multiple Linear Regression analysis using SPSS version 20 software.
The results show that Competency (X1), Compensation (X2), and Job Satisfaction (X3) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect toward performance (Y) of ASN in the Agriculture and Food Security Office of Polewali Mandar Regency with a significant value of 0,000 and a value of fcount> f. table. The competency variable (X1) has a value of t count 12,524, with t table 1,988 so t count> t table which states that competence has a contribution to employee performance. The competency variable has a negative t count of 5.108 with t table 1.988 so t count <t table which concludes that compensation has no contribution toward employee performance. The job satisfaction variable has a negative t count of 4,831 with t table 1,988 so t count <t table which means that job satisfaction does not have a contribution to employee performance. From all results, it can be seen that the most dominant effect that affects the Civil Servant Employee performance at the Agriculture and Food Security Office of Polewali Mandar Regency is the competence by the largest beta coefficient value, namely 2.085.
