This studi aims to analyze the interest of accounting students in Makassar to become educator accountants. This research will be investigated using the variables of the flexibility of working hours, professional recognition, and social values. This research uses a multiple linear regression analysis method.
The population in this study were accounting students at the Best Private Universities (PTS) in Makassar starting from third-semester students (three) and above. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. There were 115 respondents from the five Best Private Universities (PTS) in Makassar used for this research.
In accordance with the results of the data test using the T test (independent test), it shows that partially the flexibility of working hours is negative and not significant in choosing a career as an educator accountant. While the variables of professional recognition and social values are positive and significant in choosing a career as an educator accountant. Simultaneously, the results of this study indicate that the independent variable can explain the dependent variable. The independent variable has a significant effect on the dependent variable simultaneously.
